Undergraduate STUDY
I completed my undergraduate degree at a small liberal arts college; majoring in geology with a chemistry minor and global studies concentration. My research focus was in geochemistry and included both field work and lab analysis.
I studied abroad at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand through the program Frontiers Abroad. I worked through college as a teaching assistant in geology courses and as an outdoor program trip leader. |
Thesis Research
In the summer of 2021, I participated in the Keck Geology Consortium Advanced Project, studying water and sediment geochemistry in the Shenandoah Valley.
I presented the project at the Geological Society of America Conference in 2021- "Characterizing Land Use History and Assessing for Potiential Geocontaminants from Legacy Sediments and Impounded Water in Rockbridge County, Virginia" I presented this project for my senior thesis in spring 2022. |
